Easy to Learn, Hard to Master – The Fate of Atari

2600 atari

Hi everyone,

Hope you all are well. 🙂 The demo group I’m in, namely Void, released our first production in years a few days ago. It’s a demo pack called Applejack Pack and you can get it here:

Have been spending quite a bit of time trying to create fonts and logos for upcoming productions. Great way to use the good, old A1200! 2MB RAM is certainly enough for such tasks, but miss the fast-RAM when it comes to running WHD-Load and cool demos.

Anyway, that was not what I was going to write about in this post. Today I’d like to mention a new Kickstarter concerning a documentary about Atari. It is called Easy to Learn, Hard to Master – The Fate of Atari. This is a very interesting part of both computing and gaming history, so I hope they get enough backers for this one.

Here’s the trailer:

Here is the link to the official Kickstarter page:

Thanks for visiting my blog and have a nice evening!

  1. Should make an interesting documentary, Atari were a fascinating company with a varied history, as touched upon in The Amiga Years documentary. The Atari 2600, with the fake wood finish, was the first computer system I ever played on. Great memories, lots of broken joysticks!
